Strep A outbreaks across the country

We currently have no cases of chicken pox or scarlet fever but please remain vigilant.
As you are aware from the recent media coverage, there are several Strep A outbreaks across the country.
Currently, we have no one, in school, who has chicken pox or scarlet fever but we need everyone to remain vigilant.
Though scarlet fever is usually a mild illness, it should be treated with antibiotics to minimise the risk of complications and reduce the spread to others. It is important to remind your children to cough and sneeze into tissues and place these in the bin, washing hands regularly and ensuring any breaks to the skin are covered with a waterproof plaster/dressing before attending nursery/school.
